NOTE: The option to "Discontinue" or "Keep" the medication will be available and optional. If discontinue is selected, this will eliminate the need to manually discontinue the medication if you want to change the current medication dose. |
|
NOTE: Fields with an asterisk are required. The Pharmacy field will default to the most recently used pharmacy by that patient but can be modified by clicking in the field for pharmacy management options. |
|
NOTE: SAVE & NEW will save the current prescription and then open the Add RX screen to allow you to complete another prescription. |
After renewing the prescription, it appears on the Prescriptions list where the prescription must be reviewed, signed, and an action selected for the prescription to be complete.
NOTE: A warning triangle icon will be displayed next to the medication on the Prescriptions list if the original medication fails to discontinue (due to technical issues). |
On hover, the alert displays: "RX failed to discontinue." The medication must be manually discontinued.
