There are several ways to locate your patient.
Searching for a Patient
The Search field in the upper-right corner allows you to search for a patient by their first or last name.
Type at least 2 letters to return any active patient records matching that criteria. |
Clicking on the patient’s details will open the patient’s chart.
Viewing Former Patients
Once an active patient is permanently discharged, expired, or no longer in your care, OneView considers the patient a “former” patient. Former patient's medical records are available through the Search field and Patients > Former Patients.
The search field returns active patient records, but former patients can be located by clicking View Former Patients at the bottom right of the results. |
Patients > Former Patients will list former patients with at least one documented encounter in OneView in the past 180 days. You must attest once per login that you are viewing protected health information.
Viewing Visiting Patients
Patients being treated at a facility other than their “home” location can be accessed from the Dialysis Schedule and Search field.
Assigning Covering Rights
OneView will not automatically put you in a practice relationship with other providers in your practice. To allow other providers in your practice to care for patients assigned to you, a provider must be:
- Credentialed at the facility where the patient treats
- AND assigned covering rights from the primary physician for the patient under Settings > Covering Rights
- OR a collaborating allied health provider (AHP) for either the primary physician or a physician who has been granted covering rights
Staff members who have Practice Super User access in OneView can assign covering rights on behalf of their physicians.
