Comment Details

This section will display the comment(s) and the date of the encounter. Comments displayed are from finalized encounter notes created in OneView.  Comments in an unfinalized encounter note will not be displayed.

If the comment is more than 8 lines in length, clicking EXPAND will allow you to view the entire comment. Once expanded, the comment can be collapsed. PtChart-CareCategory-Comment-expand.png

Copying Comments

The COPY IN button allows you to pull in comments from a previously finalized encounter note into your current encounter note. The COPY IN button will be enabled (turn blue) when a note is started.

Click COPY IN to pull the comment text from the selected finalized note. PtChart-CareCategory-CopyIn.png
Please note

COPY IN functionality should only be used when the included wording accurately reflects and represents the care and observations from that specific patient visit and should not be inserted to any patient record without careful review. All copied text must be thoroughly evaluated for appropriateness to the specific encounter.

Viewing the Full Encounter Note

Click the document icon above the care category encounter note and a separate tab will open with the full encounter PDF. PtChart-CareCategory-CopyIn-FullPDF.png

NOTE: The encounter note functionality is only available to specific users at this time.

Copy In Settings

If you find the Copy In functionality useful but would like the process to occur automatically, you can configure OneView to do this. Go to Settings > Customizations to view your options.

The setting will be turned off ("Do not copy forward comments") by default.

After selecting one of the options to copy forward ("last Note of any type" or "last Note of the same type"), the Clinical Details Categories will be available for selection.

Click the checkbox for each category you would like copied forward.
