There are features built into OneView to enhance your workflow during patient encounters. Incorporating some or all of these tools can speed up the time it takes to document an encounter.

Find Your Patients When Rounding
When rounding, find your patient(s) through the Dialysis Schedule by clicking Start ICHD Rounds from the Home page.
Similarly, if you are rounding on a PD or HHD patient, select PD/HHD Visits from the Home page.
Turn on Location Services through your browser for OneView to automatically select the dialysis center based on your physical location.
Start an Encounter
When rounding, start an encounter note through the Dialysis Schedule. This opens the patient chart and encounter note.
Pro Tip: Click the View Previous Month toggle for the current and prior month's encounters.

Documenting an Encounter
There are several features within the encounter note and patient chart that will speed up the time it takes to review and document patient information.
Snippets
Snippets allow you to store common phrases and then pull them into any note. Type the text into the Comments box and then click the icon to save it to your Snippets list. In a future note, click the Select Snippet icon to pull in the text you previously saved.

Scroll To
Click Scroll To next to the care category title and you'll be taken to that section of the chart under Clinical Details to view relevant data while still in the note. |
To learn how to configure OneView to auto-scroll to the care category when you navigate to a new one in the encounter note (without selecting Scroll To), reference this article.
Copy In
Click the COPY IN button from the left-side of the chart to pull a previous comment into your current note. This will scroll to and activate the Reviewed toggle. |
After the comment is copied, the provider's name and date of encounter for which the comment was copied will display below the comment box.
The COPY IN functionality should only be used when the included wording accurately reflects and represents the care and observations from that specific patient visit and should not be inserted into any patient record without careful review. All copied text must be thoroughly evaluated for appropriateness to the specific encounter.

Reviewed
If you do not have additional comments but reviewed a care category, click the Reviewed toggle to mark the section as reviewed. |
The Reviewed toggle will automatically be enabled, if pertinent lab values are addressed by clicking the pill buttons or notes are typed in the Comments box.
When the Reviewed toggle is on, additional information will be under the note header stating, “Clinical assessment at goal unless otherwise documented", clarifying the document by exception intent of the note.
